E3 Consulting Services (E3) is pleased to have supported the Greenlight Electricity Centre Limited Partnership (GLEC) in the financing of the Greenlight Electricity Centre (GEC), a 932 MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle power generation facility in Sturgeon County, Alberta.
GLEC is a joint venture between Pembina Pipeline Corporation, Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, and Kineticor Asset Management (KAM). Greenlight is a high-efficiency combined cycle natural gas power facility that uses both gas and steam turbines to generate electricity to power Meta’s Sturgeon County data centre in Alberta.
E3 served as Independent Engineer in support of project financing, providing lenders and investors with an independent technical assessment of the project’s design, execution strategy, contractual arrangements, technical risks, and readiness for financing. The E3 team supported the financing parties in their evaluation of GEC. E3 is currently providing construction monitoring services for the project, which is expected to begin commercial operations in 2030.
