New Law, New Value
Our client wanted to invest in a well established, thriving coal-fired power station. E3 examined new federal laws being developed to control emissions from coal-fired generators. Turns out that the new emissions standards would require our client to invest over $100 million to keep the asset in compliance. Our client shared our evaluation with the seller of the project, who revised its purchase price to account for this new information, and they closed the deal.
