Project: NGP Capital Portfolio Valuation
Location: California, Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountains

Overview:

SunTrust Robinson Humphrey requested that E3 Consulting review NGP Capital Resources Company’s (“NGP Capital’s”) portfolio of assets for valuation purposes in support of a loan to NGP Capital.  NGP Capital is a financial services company organized in 2004 to invest primarily in small and mid-size private energy companies.  NGP Capital’s asset portfolio consists of a variety of oil and gas exploration and production company investments, including loans, bond investments, overriding royalty interests and equity positions.      

E3 Consulting was asked to provide valuation services on behalf of SunTrust for this nine-asset portfolio. 

E3 Services Provided:

Comprehensive valuation review of the assets, covering the following aspects of the projects:

• Geology
• Drilling programs
• Oil and gas reserves
• Revenue projections and cashflow analyses
• Capital expenditures
• Operations and maintenance costs, and
• Financial modeling

Project Spotlights:

• E3’s review considered a variety of oil and gas exploration and production properties, including offshore and onshore assets, producing properties, extensive drilling programs and resource exploration plays.
• In consultation with SunTrust and NGP Capital, E3 developed a client-specific valuation review process that will be used for periodic, future NGP Capital asset reviews on behalf of SunTrust.
