E3 Consulting Announces Senior-Level Organizational Changes:
Paul Plath to become President and CEO and
Don Hurd moves to Coeus Energy Group

DENVER—E3 Consulting, LLC (E3), a leading business and technical advisor to the energy industry, announced today that Paul B. Plath moved into the role of President and CEO effective October 1, 2009. Plath takes the place of Donald J. Hurd, who has led the company since its inception in 1999; Hurd has moved into the newly created position of President and CEO of Coeus Energy Group, Inc., E3's parent company.

Plath is one of the founding members of ten-year old E3 Consulting. He has served as a senior vice president and chief technology officer, maintaining and expanding the E3’s core technical competencies and providing technical expertise to the firm's clients. Additionally, he has long been a member of the firm’s Executive Team, formed to help the firm achieve its long-term corporate objectives.

Plath has over 25 years of experience in engineering and consulting, focused on power and industrial projects. Prior to co-founding E3 in 1999, Plath held senior consulting positions with Harris Group, Inc., R.W. Beck, Inc., and Xcel Energy. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Connecticut.

Coeus Energy Group, Inc. was formed to provide comprehensive solutions to energy problems through a network of skilled business and engineering professionals. In addition to E3 Consulting, LLC, Coeus is the parent company of Alpine Energy Group, LLC and The Operating Company, LLC.
