E3 Expert Discusses Biofuel Commercialization at the
Renewable Energy World Conference and Expo

Paul Plath, Senior Vice President of E3 Consulting, LLC, was part of a panel of experts brought together to explore mass-market commercialization of renewable biofuels at the Renewable Energy World Conference and Expo, held in Las Vegas on Feb. 19-21.

According to Plath, the renewable energy portfolio standards that have been passed by a majority of states are providing new opportunities for the fuels; however, he noted there are still significant barriers to commercialization. "Due to the long development cycles for new biofuels technology, urgent action is needed by Congress to extend the Production Tax Credits for at least three years so that new technologies have adequate time to complete development, construction and testing prior to the expiration of the tax credits," Plath noted

Plath has more than 23 years of experience in engineering and consulting working on power and industrial projects.
