Women in energy and mining
get connected through E3 Consulting®, LLC

The First Annual Women in Energy and Mining Holiday Luncheon, sponsored by E3 Consulting, LLC, brought together more than 50 female professionals from Denver area energy, mining and banking companies. The event, organized by Vanessa Cameron, E3's Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, was held at Denver's historic Brown Palace Hotel.

Cameron noted that in her two decades of work in the energy profession, she has met many women in the energy industry and wanted to provide a venue for these professionals to meet and renew, maintain, and establish relationships in an industry that benefits from such relationships.

"I have many long-time women friends in the energy industry and I've also had the pleasure of meeting many newcomers. I wanted to get everyone together for a festive occasion and introduce them to my colleagues at E3 Consulting," Cameron said. "I also wanted to provide an opportunity for women in oil and gas to network with women in the mining industry as we share many of the same work-related challenges."

Along with a look ahead for the energy industry during 2008, Judy Colgan, Marketing Director for the Colorado Mining Association, provided a 'save the date' for the 110th Annual National Western Mining Conference & Exhibition, set for February 12-14, 2008 in Denver.

E3 has 25 employees, six of which are women in decision-making positions. With offices in Denver, Houston, Pennsylvania and the New York area, E3 offers an experienced team of experts with backgrounds in electric power, mining, oil and gas, the environment, science and finance. E3's consultants provide objective oversight, critical analysis and solutions for businesses building, optimizing or restructuring energy projects.
