Project:
Eunice Gas Processing Valuation
Location: Central Louisiana

Overview:

The owner of this natural gas processing plant needed a market assessment and valuation on his facility, to determine whether its value was enough to cover its outstanding debt.

The plant, at the hub of several pipeline systems carrying both natural gas and natural gas liquids, processed raw natural gas (up to 1.2 BCF per day) into natural gas liquids (up to 34,000 barrels per day). The project consisted of a cryogenic extraction process, a refrigerated lean oil absorption extraction process, a fractionation process, and a butamer unit that turns normal butane into isobutene.

E3 Services Provided:

  • Comprehensive operations assessment, market assessment and valuation, with an eye toward determining the facility’s value above and beyond outstanding debt
  • The resulting review concluded that, not only was this aging facility well maintained and operated, but that the project still maintained its value above the outstanding debt.

Project Spotlights:

  • The project comprised equipment that had been added periodically over 50 years, making E3’s site review of equipment condition, operating procedures, and control procedures particularly interesting and challenging.
