Overview:

American Rock Salt, one of the largest and most efficient salt-producing facilities in the United States, wanted to finance and construct the first large greenfield salt mine developed in the U.S. in 20 years. The Hampton Corners mine, located 30 miles south of Rochester, New York, produces up to 3 million tons of crushed rock salt annually – used primarily for road de-icing throughout the northeastern U.S.

E3 Services Provided:

• Served as the independent engineer supporting the successful financing, construction, and completion of the mine

• Technical evaluation of the resource and mining plan

• Review of construction capital costs and schedules

• Production cost review

• Construction, and

• Completion monitoring
